50 km away on the Eastern of Futuroscope, in Saint Savin, follow the weathercock of the abbey topping at 77 meters high… there, there is a jewel of Romanesque art, along the river and the rows of poplars, built by Charlemagne’s son.
Registered for 30 years in the World Heritage list of UNESCO, its very well preserved frescoes, which adorn the nave, the choir and the crypt of the church, attract people from the whole world.
Recently restored, this "picture book" of more than 17 meters high has a new presentation: fiber optic lighting, wrought-iron work chandeliers, renovated stained glass...
The first floor of the scenographic itinerary enables to visit virtually the abbey using touch screens, 3D ... it is even possible to see the crypt in high quality, normally closed to the public!
