Check-in is the operation by which, upon presentation of your plane ticket (flight coupons for classic tickets or itinerary receipt for electronic tickets) at the counter of your airline in the terminal, airport staff will validate your passage and check your hold luggage.

On arrival, consult the screens indicating departure times and check-in areas.

The latest check-in time (ETA) is indicated on your ticket. Go to the check-in area to validate your passage, upon presentation of your ticket, and to check your baggage.



The check-in deadlines according to the companies are as follows:

  • Chalair : 30 minutes before takeoff.
  • Ryanair : 40 min before takeoff

In general, it is preferable to arrive between 45min and 1 hour before departure time for domestic flights and between 1h30 and 2h for international and charter flights.

We advise you to respect these indications in order to have enough time to pass through security control.

Some airlines offer the possibility to check in your flight at home, on the Internet, and to print your boarding pass yourself. You must then go to the website of the airline in question.

Please note that this online registration or "web check'in" is mandatory when travelling with Ryanair. Passengers who have checked in online but do not present the printed boarding pass at the airport will be charged a reissuance fee of €15/person.

Passengers who have not checked in online and therefore do not present the printed boarding pass at the airport will have to pay a check-in fee of €70/person.



Opening between 60 days and 24hrs before departure depending on the package chosen, closing 2hrs before takeoff.

Once you have checked in online, you can print out your boarding pass up to 2 hours before departure.

To check in online, first obtain your reservation number and then go to in the "Online check-in" section.

Please note: Passengers are reminded that they must be present at the boarding gate at least 40 minutes before the departure of a Ryanair flight.

The strollers are systematically placed in the hold.

We also inform our passengers that you have the possibility to take a baby seat in the hold of the aircraft free of charge. This is subject to the terms and conditions of the airline operating your flight and the baby seat will be subject to an X-ray check.



Hygiene products as well as baby pharmaceuticals, infant formula, milk, fruit juice, water and baby food are not covered by the regulations for liquids, aerosols and gels.

These products are allowed in the cabin in reasonable quantities according to your itinerary and must be presented to the screening staff for a separate inspection of your carry-on baggage. Please note that the security officer reserves the right to give you a taste of these products.

A changing table is always available in boarding lounge 1 for changing your baby.


You may take aspirin or other medicines in any form for your children, but be aware that the security officer reserves the right to give you a taste of these products.

Children's toys are allowed in carry-on baggage, but there are exceptions such as robots that can be converted into toy weapons and toy weapons.

For example, water pistols and grenade-shaped or sword-type toys are prohibited in carry-on baggage. Helium-filled balloons and modelling clay are also prohibited in carry-on.

Caution: Children under 16 years of age cannot travel alone with Ryanair.

As far as Chalair is concerned, children can travel alone, as UM (Unaccompanied Minor) passengers, from the age of 4 up to and including the age of 11 for domestic routes, if they do not suffer from any major disability. UM passengers must be present at check-in no later than 45 minutes (domestic flights) or 1 hour (international flights) before the check-in time for the flight concerned.



At the airport of departure, when the child's check-in formalities are completed, he or she will be given a special UM pouch which he or she must keep during the trip. It will contain the child's plane ticket, his/her identity papers (for national and international flights, a valid passport or identity card), parental authorisation and an identification form or the contact details of the person responsible for meeting the child at the arrival airport. It is imperative for this person to be in possession of an identity document to welcome the child.


For children over the age of 12 travelling alone, the company does not provide legal custody. It will nevertheless endeavour, in the event of difficulties, to assist them. Children who have reached the age of 15 years must have an identity document or an individual passport.

The national identity card or passport according to the destination is mandatory regardless of the age on Ryanair.

The family booklet is tolerated on Chalair ONLY up to 2 years.


From 15 January 2017, a child who travels abroad unaccompanied by one of his or her parents must present the following 3 documents:

  • Valid identity document of the minor: identity card or passport + possible visa according to the requirements of the destination country;
  • Photocopy of the valid or expired identity document of the signatory parent: identity card or passport;
  • Form signed by one of the parents holding parental authority.

There are no special conditions for a disabled passenger to be admitted on board. However, it is essential to inform the airline so that the passenger can benefit from the services made available.

For Ryanair, passengers requiring special assistance can book this service on Ryanair's website up to 48 hours before the flight. After this time and up to 12 hours before flight departure, passengers should contact the Ryanair Special Assistance Line at the following number 0891 46 00 46. If the passenger does not book the required assistance at least 48 hours in advance, the service may not be available. However, the airport assistance team will make every effort to provide the requested service.

For Chalair, it is important that you make your request for assistance at the time of booking your ticket, at least 48 hours before your departure (otherwise a significant waiting time may be generated at check-in). The airport has a ground handling service to facilitate boarding and disembarkation:

  • assisted boarding.

Warning : Animals are not allowed on board Ryanair aircraft with the exception of guide dogs or "emotional support" dogs on certain itineraries and airline agreement only.

For the Chalair company, you can carry only one small animal, weighing a maximum of 5 kg, provided that it travels in an approved bag.
Under no circumstances should your pet leave its container during the flight.Their number being limited on board, it is imperative to contact the company upstream to make the request, which will then validate the service and cash the payment.


For the Chalair company, the transport of an animal is subject to an agreement with the company's services for routes operated in ATR.
Lines operated by Beechcraft 1900D do not allow this kind of special transport because the aircraft's hold is not suitable for the transport of animals.
You will therefore have to pay for eligible route:

  • For animals transported in the cabin: a flat rate of 20€ per journey;
  • For animals transported in the hold: a lump sum of 40€ per journey.

Payment is to be made directly at the airport.


It is essential to inform the company at the time of booking.

In the case of connecting flights, you will need to check in your pet at each stopover point.

In general, airlines do not tolerate more than two pets per flight.

Make sure you bring your pet's health record and ask about the required vaccinations and formalities on arrival.



For all travel with pets, contact the airline's reservation service by phone (Chalair  : 0892 700 499 (0.40€/min)) and present yourself at the check-in counter at least 1 hour before the departure of your flight.

To travel serenely with your pet:

Present formalities in good standing:

  • The animal's vaccination booklet must be presented at check-in. Your pet must be tattooed or chipped;
  • Manage its stress: Pets travel better when they have had a chance to exercise. Remember to give them some exercise before leaving;
  • Anticipate small hungers: Don't forget the snacks for the snack;
  • Think about their comfort: Put them in a closed, airy container that allows them to stand up and turn around for their comfort.

Whether it travels in the cabin or in the hold, to get a suitable and compliant crate, we recommend that you check with your pet shop in advance and ask your veterinarian for advice.

GAZ Station

If you want to refuel before returning your rental car, the two nearest stations are in the direction of Futuroscope :

  • Gaz Station Intermarché Demi-Lune at 2km ;
  • Gaz Station Total Access at 3 km.

For those arriving from the south, Auchan gaz station when arriving at Poitiers Porte Sud only 5 km from the airport.
